Does your business need a jingle? What AI can make for you in song and video

You've probably never thought your business needed a theme song. Neither did my clients, until they heard theirs.

Most of what I do with AI is practical: proposals, process docs, Google posts, review requests. Useful, but nobody hums a process doc in the car. Lately I've been using AI for something a lot more fun, and it turns out to be useful too. Songs and video.

Yes, I made jingles

I've made radio jingles with AI for two of my clients, Nash Builders LLC and Cascade Farm & Fleet Services. Go ahead and give them a listen:

Fair warning, they get stuck in your head. I would know. I made them and I still catch myself humming them.

The process is simpler than you'd think. I learn what the business does and how it wants to sound. Claude helps me write lyrics that actually say something about the business, and an AI music tool turns those lyrics into a finished song. Then I listen to a lot of versions and keep the one that sounds like you.

Once your song is done, I can also upload it to all the major platforms, like Spotify, YouTube, and Pandora. That goes for your jingle or any other audio you want to create. Your customers can find you the same place they find everything else they listen to.

Where a jingle earns its keep

A jingle isn't only for radio. Once you have one, it can work in a lot of places:

  • Radio and streaming ads
  • Spotify, YouTube, Pandora, and the other major platforms, where anyone can play it
  • Hold music on your phone line, so callers hear your name instead of elevator music
  • The intro or outro on your social media videos
  • A play button on your website, like the one on mine
  • Trade shows, open houses, and anywhere else you set up a booth

AI video, without the film crew

I've also been making AI video, mostly to see how far the tools can go. There's a comedy series called Life in Plastic, and a mushroom forager named Chanty Pfifferling who takes his fungi very seriously. You can get a sample of the rest of my media work, including songs, jingles, and a couple of games, on my Services page.

For a small business, the same tools can make:

  • Short social media videos that don't require you to be on camera
  • A character or mascot who introduces your business
  • A quick explainer showing what you do and how it works
  • Seasonal promos for holidays, sales, or events

AI video is best when it's short. Ask it for a quick clip and you can get something great. Ask it for a ten minute film and you'll get something that looks like a fever dream. Short is better anyway, since most of us are attention misers.

Where AI media still needs a human

I'm a skeptic who teaches the tool, so here's the honest part.

  • It mispronounces things. AI singers stumble over business names. My own jingle file is named hey ay eye help because I had to spell it out before the singer said it right.
  • Not every take is a keeper. For every version I keep, several get tossed. Picking the right one is a human job.
  • Video gets weird. Extra fingers, melting backgrounds, a character whose face changes between scenes. Every clip needs a careful look before it goes out.
  • Usage rights matter. Each AI music and video tool has its own rules about commercial use. I check those before anything goes out under your name.

Want a song or video for your business?

If you're a small business in Salem or anywhere in Oregon and you want a jingle, a short video, or a little character to carry your message, let's talk. It fits right alongside the everyday work I already do through Claude, Working for You, and you can see more of my AI media on the Services page.

So, what would your business's theme song sound like?
