Anthropic, the company behind Claude, just launched something called Claude for Small Business. If you have read about it and wondered whether that means you do not need me anymore, that is a fair question, and you deserve a straight answer instead of a sales pitch.
What Claude for Small Business actually is
It is a package built into Claude that connects to the tools you already pay for, QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, DocuSign, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365. Once it is connected, you get a set of ready made workflows: reconcile your books against your payment settlements, forecast your cash for the next month, chase down overdue invoices, plan a promotion and generate the social assets for it. There is no extra cost beyond your existing Claude subscription, twenty to two hundred dollars a month, and whatever tools you already have hooked up.
It is a genuinely good product. This is not me talking it down.
The part that does not change
You still have to open Claude yourself. Pick the workflow you need. Read what it drafted. Click approve before anything sends, posts, or pays. Every month, for every task. It is a smaller job than doing all of it by hand, but it is still a job, and it is still on your plate.
What Claude, Working for You actually is
I am the one who opens Claude. I run those same kinds of tasks, and a good deal more, your bids and proposals, your Google Business Profile posts, your review requests, your social updates, so that you never have to log in at all. Once a month, you get a folder of finished work that sounds like you wrote it. That is the whole service.
So which one do you actually want
If you have an afternoon a month you are genuinely willing to spend reviewing AI drafts and connecting your own accounts, Claude for Small Business is a solid, inexpensive option. Go use it, and if you would rather learn it with someone next to you, that is exactly what my workshops are for.
If the thought of learning one more tool on top of running your business makes your shoulders tighten, that is the gap I fill. You keep doing the work only you can do. I keep Claude running underneath it, and you never see the seams.
The honest answer
I am not going to pretend my retainer and Anthropic's product do not overlap, because they do. The difference is who is driving. Their product hands you the wheel with a nicer dashboard. My retainer means you never have to drive at all.
